INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON BIODIVERSITY and Edible Wild Species 

Welcome to the homepage of the International Symposium on Biodiversity and Edible Wild Species

The International Symposium on Biodiversity and Edible Wild Species (BEWS2017) will be held on 3-5 April 2017 in Antalya. The Symposium is organized by the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) in collaboration with the GEF-funded Biodiversity for Food and Nutrition (BFN) Project.
BEWS2017 covers most aspects of biodiversity including plant biodiversity, and particularly wild edible species. The Symposium aims to bring researchers, scientists and plant breeders together to share advances in biodiversity conservation and use and establish new collaborations. TAGEM also aims to foster innovative thinking for the utilization and conservation of plant biodiversity.
Keynote Speakers of BEWS2017 are Prof.Dr. Adil Güner from Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanic Garden (Director), Prof.Dr. Klaus Mummenhoff from University of Osnabrück, Prof. Dr. Sezai Ercişli from Erzurum Atatürk University and Dr. Nigel Maxted from University of Birmingham. 
The Symposium is organized in one of Turkey's most beautiful and historic cities, and offers a rich program for informal social interaction, including a welcome reception, gala dinner and a closing ceremony. We hope to see you in Antalya.
