The main function of this column base is to link the column to the concrete footing surface and thereby transmit the structure's stresses to the foundation. The CBSQ uses Strong Drive SDS Heavy Duty Connector screws (included), which allow for fast installation and reduced reveal, and provide a greater net section area of the column than bolts. Very Light weight, they look great though. Fairly easy to put together. Came with all parts I’ll be it scattered and the screws don’t look sturdy but I won’t be using the ones that it came with. Overall, fair price, quality is fair as well.
